​The Minnesota State Parks & Trails plate is available for purchase. This plate type is available for passenger class vehicles, and offices should have the plate available. This plate is also available to order, for one-ton trucks, RV's and motorcycles, your local deputy registrar office should be able to help order the plate for you. 

Proceeds from the sale of this specialty plate will be used to support the operations and maintenance of Minnesota state parks and trails. This includes any additional donation you may choose to make.​The license plate allows unlimited visits to all 75 Minnesota state parks and recreation areas for an entire year—no additional vehicle permit required. Customers will be supporting Minnesota's most beautiful places, as proceeds from license plate sales go directly to caring for Minnesota state parks and trails.

Most deputy offices have the plate in stock, if they do not, they will issue a 60 day temporary plate and the plate will be mailed to you.  You may apply by mail or in an office with the attached application.  Office locations can be found at https://dps.mn.gov/divisions/dvs/locations. If you have any additional questions, please include your current plate or vehicle identification number and include all prior emails in your replies.
